STROFT cutter ring

The STRFOT cutter ring is part of the STROFT leader spool system, but you can also used it as a single part on a STROFT leader spool. In both cases, the cutter rings fulfil numerous tasks:

Dimensions approx.: 6 cm x 1 cm

• A clamping device prevents the end of the line from accidentally slipping back into the spool. This means that you can secure the end of the line and always have it within easy reach.
• A leaf spring made of corrosion-free spring steel ensures a slow, yet safe and smooth rotation of the spool.
• The cord passage hole is provided with a metal sleeve made of hard brass and thus ensures smooth and jerk-free cord withdrawal.
• The cutter rings protrude over the spools on both sides and form a completely closed housing with the spool holder. This protects the line from all light and UV radiation. The closed housing also makes it very comfortable to use. You can grasp the housing and hold it at any point to pull line off the spools that rotate freely inside.
• The cord cutting device has been equipped with a specially manufactured blade made of high-alloy Solingen stainless steel with a gold-colored titanium nitride coating. The blade has a very long service life. The blade can easily cut cords with a smooth cut – even thick and tough cords and even braided cords.
• You can lable the cutter rings around the circumference on the self-adhesive cord labels provided. When you use spools in a set, it is particularly helpful to use lableling. You can then clearly see Information such as cord type, diameter, etc.  and read around the circumference without having to remove the spools from the spool holder. You can use the different colored labels provided for different cord types.
• You can easily push the cutter rings onto the spools using a “snap-in” mechanism and you can remove them again in the same way. This means that you can use the cutter rings over and over again. When a spool is empty, you can simply remove the cutter ring and place it onto the new full spool. You can find further details in the catalog under STROFT leader spool system.
